ED Harris has replaced Liam Neeson on new movie What’s Wrong With Virginia?.

The film, which co-stars Jennifer Connelly, finds Harris playing a sheriff whose bid for the state senate is threatened when his daughter begins dating the son of a psychologically disturbed woman.

The woman in question is someone the sheriff has been having a two-decade affair with.

What’s Wrong With Virginia? is written and directed by Dustin Lance Black, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Milk.

Connelly, who last worked with Harris on Pollock and A Beautiful Mind, will play the title role of Virginia, while Emma Roberts will play Harris’ daughter and Amy Madigan will play his wife. Shooting begins later this month.
