Ed Helms in talks for Stretch alongside Patrick Wilson
Story by Jack Foley
ED Helms is in talks to join the cast of new Patrick Wilson thriller Stretch.
To be directed by Joe Carnahan, the film follows Wilson as a down-on-his luck limo driver nicknamed ‘Stretch’ who is trying to get clean and pay back a debt only to find himself with the passenger from hell, a nut job who is selling his ledger of criminal associates to the highest bidder.
Chris Pine is already secured to play the passenger and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Helms is in negotiations to play a fellow chauffeur at Stretch’s company, who would serve as Wilson’s conscience.
Stretch is looking to start production in the summer. It is also being produced by Jason Blum, the man behind US box office sensation The Purge, which topped the charts this weekend ahead of Google comedy The Internship, causing a massive upset.
Wilson has previously worked with Blum on another indie hit, Insidious, the sequel to which is also on its way to cinemas.
