Emilia Clarke is Sarah Connor in Terminator reboot
Story by Jack Foley
EMILIA Clarke is to take on the iconic role of Sarah Connor in the reboot of The Terminator.
The Game of Thrones star is to step into the shoes now vacated by Linda Hamilton in the Alan Taylor-directed blockbuster.
The character is the future mother of John Connor, who grows up to be the leader of the human resistance in the war between humans and the machines.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is back as a Terminator robot, with Jason Clarke currently in talks for the coveted role of John Connor.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reboot will take the form of a time-spanning story that will also involve a young Kyle Reese and an adult Connor.
It will see the Terminator robot being tasked to protect Sarah Connor from childhood and into young adulthood.
Clarke – best known for playing dragon commanding princess Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series – beat Brie Larson to the role. She was also seen on the big screen in Jude Law’s Dom Hemingway earlier this year.
