Story by Jack Foley

EMILY Blunt is hitching a ride on board Disney’s Jungle Cruise.

The British actress will join Dwayne Johnson in the feature based on the classic Disneyland ride, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jaume Collet-Serra, the filmmaker behind The Shallows and current Liam Neeson thriller The Commuter, will direct the action-adventure.

Exact plot details remain firmly under wraps but the film will be based around the idea of a group of park-goers who are taken on a journey through the rivers of the world, from Africa’s Nile and Congo rivers to South America’s Amazon.

Johnson, who is riding high off his latest box office smash Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, will also produce.

Disney is aiming to start production in the spring.

Blunt – who previously starred in Disney’s Into The Woods – is also working with the studio on the keenly anticipated Mary Poppins Returns, starring opposite Lin Manuel Miranda in the feature re-imagining. The sequel is due out in December.

As yet, there is no release date set for Jungle Cruise.
