Entourage movie in the works at Warner Bros

Entourage: Season 8

Story by Jack Foley

A MOVIE version of hit TV series Entourage has officially been given the go-ahead by Warner Bros, according to Deadline.

Doug Ellin, the original series creator, will direct the film having already written the screenplay.

Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven are currently in talks to reprise their roles from the HBO series.

The show, produced by Mark Wahlberg, followed a group of childhood friends who move to Hollywood after one of them (Grenier) becomes a successful movie star. The critically-acclaimed series was known for its string of high-profile cameos and ran between 2004 and 2011.

Ellis and Wahlberg have long been pushing for a film version to properly finish off the story.

As yet, no release date has been given and there is no official start date for production.
