Eric Dane joins Burlesque

GREY’S Anatomy heartthrob Eric Dane (pictured right) has joined the cast of musical ensemble Burlesque.
The film will follow the fortunes of an ambitious small-town girl named Ali (played by Christina Aguilera) as she finds love, fame and fortune while performing at a neo-burlesque club run.
Variety reports that Dane will play a character named Marcus, a businessman who offers to buy the club from its current owner and who competes for Ali’s heart.
The film, which has been written and directed by Steve Antin, also stars Cher, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell and Alan Cumming. It is due for a release in America on Thanksgiving 2010.
