CHINESE actress Fan Bingbing and Twilight actor Booboo Stewart look set to join the ever-expanding cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Director Bryan Singer broke the news via Twitter on Friday when he Tweeted a slightly unclear photo featuring a wall of headshots.
Most of the actors, including Hugh Jackman and Omar Sy, have already had been announced but a few had not, including Bingbing, Stewart and Daniel Cudmore.
Bingbing, who is best known for her role in Chinese box office record breaker Lost in Thailand, is expected to play the mutant teleporter Blink, a fan favourite.
It is unknown what role Stewart will fill but Cudmore will reprise his role as Colossus from X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand.
The star-studded X-Men Days of Future Past already boasts a line-up featuring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Omar Sy, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry and Peter Dinklage.
Based on the iconic 1981 story in Marvel Comics’ Uncanny X-Men, Days of Future Past – the follow-up to X-Men: First Class – will portray the original series stars as older versions of their characters in a dystopian future in which mutants are hunted down.
The film is currently scheduled for release in cinemas on July 18, 2014.
