First official Skyfall image released from Bond 23

Preview by Jack Foley

THE first official shot from new James Bond movie Skyfall has been released and here it is in big and small form!

The photo shows Daniel Craig’s James Bond wielding a gun and sporting uncharacteristic stubble.

According to the official 007 website it is taken from a scene set in Shanghai.

The release of the first official images follows several leaked photo shoots from the set of the movie, which is being directed by Sam Mendes.

One shot in particular is believed to have angered Sony, showing Craig in a pair of swimming trunks sitting with his back to the camera with his feet in a large swimming pool.

But given the keen sense of anticipation surrounding the 23rd 007 adventure, as well as the heightened secrecy surrounding plot details, it’s little wonder that online journos and film fans are desperate to learn more.

Skyfall‘s release comes 40 years after that of the first James Bond film, Dr No, in 1962, and sees Craig joined by Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney, as well as Dame Judi Dench, who is said to play a more pivotal part in the story.

Thus far, all that has been released officially about the story by Sony is: “Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time.

“In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
