GARY Barlow has confirmed that he has a part in new Star Wars film, The Last Jedi.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine show on Monday, the Take That singer said: “I’m not a Stormtrooper but I am in it.”

However, he refused to give away any clues as to what part he would play for fear that he might be cut from the final edit.

“I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information (is out there). So me saying that, I’ve probably just done myself out of a role,” he joked.

The Last Jedi follows on from The Force Awakens, and features the continuing adventures of Rey (Daisy Ridley) and runaway stormtrooper Finn (John Boyega).

The film is out in December and will also feature the late Carrie Fisher, as she had finished filming before her death in December last year.
