Gary Oldman joins Criminal Empire for Dummys

Story by Jack Foley

GARY Oldman is to join screen beauty Malin Akerman and Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia in indie gangster thrilller Criminal Empire for Dummys.

The film, which marks the feature film debut of Entourage director Cliff Dorfman from his own script, will follow a young man (played by Ventimiglia) as he relays how to run a criminal empire, via flashbacks, based on his own rise from the ghetto to a multi-national drug kingpin.

Michael Clarke Duncan and Harvey Keitel are also attached to the project, which is due to begin shooting in New Orleans later this month.

Oldman was most recently seen alongside Denzel Washington in apocalyptic thriller The Book of Eli while Akerman’s recent credits include Watchmen and Couples Retreat.
