George Clooney in talks for The Descendants

GEORGE Clooney is in talks to star in new family comedy-drama The Descendants.
The film, which is being directed by Alexander Payne, will focus on a wealthy landowner (played by Clooney) who takes his two daughters on a search for his wife’s lover in the hopes of keeping his family together.
The screenplay is based on Kaui Hart Hemmings’ debut novel of the same name and would mark Payne’s first feature film in five years. He has previously made Sideways.
Shooting is due to begin in Hawaii in February, according to Variety, and could mark Clooney’s next project after he completes the thriller The American for Anton Corbijn.
