Gerard Butler signs on for Ralph Fiennes' Coriolanus

GERARD Butler has joined the cast of Coriolanus, a contemporary version of Shakespeare’s classic tale that marks the directorial debut of Ralph Fiennes.
The former 300 star will play Tullus Aufidius, commander of the Volscian army, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
He will join a cast that also includes Fiennes himself, William Hurt, Eddie Marsan and Vanessa Redgrave.
Shooting on the Rome-set political and family drama is due to begin in Serbia next March.
Butler is one of the most in-demand actors of the moment, having recently enjoyed cinematic successes with rom-com The Ugly Truth and action-thriller Gamer.
He will next be seen alongside Jamie Foxx in the thriller, Law Abiding Citizen.
