Greg Kinnear and Jennifer Connelly join Salvation Boulevard

Flash of Genius

GREG Kinnear and Jennifer Connelly have joined the cast of new comedy-thriller Salvation Boulevard.

The duo will join Pierce Brosnan, Jim Gaffigan and Ed Harris on the project, according to Variety, which former Oscar nominee Marisa Tomei is also poised to come on board.

The film, to be written and directed by George Ratliff (of Joshua fame), is based on the book of the same name by Larry Beinhart (Wag The Dog).

It will focus on a former Deadhead turned born-again Christian who finds himself on the run from fundamentalist members of his own mega-church.

Shooting is due to start in April.

Kinnear, who is currently starring alongside Matt Damon in Green Zone, will next be seen in Miley Cyrus-Disney movie The Last Song, while Connelly has just completed What’s Wrong With Virginia for director Dustin Lance Black.

Tomei will next be seen in Cyrus opposite John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Catherine Keener.
