Harrison Ford in Morning Glory

Story by Jack Foley

HARRISON Ford has joined the cast of Anchorman 2.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ford will play a legendary newscaster in the Adam McKay-helmed comedy, which begins shooting this month in Atlanta.

He previously played an anchorman in the 2010 comedy Morning Glory alongside Rachel McAdams.

The cast addition adds to an already keenly anticipated sequel to 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, which brings back Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner, as well as Kristen Wiig.

Ferrell and McKay wrote the screenplay but plot details are thus far being kept under wraps.

Ford is busy at the moment. In addition to being linked repeatedly to a possible Star Wars return as Han Solo he has Jackie Robinson biopic 42 due for US release in April, new thriller Paranoia and franchise hopeful Ender’s Game on the way.
