Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix gets IMAX release

Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix

Story by Jack Foley

HARRY Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will open at the BFI IMAX in London on Friday, August 3, giving film fans the chance to see its 20-minute finale in IMAX 3D.

The IMAX will be the only screen in London in 3D, so tickets – which are currently on sale – are expected to go fast.

The film – which opens nationwide on July 13 – finds young wizard Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) in his fifth year of study at Hogwarts and discovers that the wizarding community has been denied the truth about his recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).

Fearing that Hogwarts’ venerable Headmaster is lying about Voldemort’s return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic appoints a new teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students.

But the Ministry-approved course leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands.

Meeting secretly with a small group of students, and teaching them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, Harry prepares the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.

Tickets cost £12 (adult) and £8 (child, 4-14) with concessions at £9.75. They can also be booked online
