ANNE Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal could be set to reunite for the first time since Brokeback Mountain in new movie Love And Other Drugs.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that the duo are both in final negotiations to appear in Ed Zwick’s adaptation of Jamie Reidy’s non-fiction novel, Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman.

Gyllenhaal would take the role of a Reidy, a drug representative for Pfizer in the late 1990s who published a light-shedding memoir on the practices of the pharmaceutical industry.

The story would also involve his relationship with a woman who has Parkinson’s (played by Hathaway).

Twentieth Century Fox is hoping to acquire the rights for the project from Universal with a view to beginning shooting the film in the autumn.

Hathaway is currently completing work on Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland and due to start shooting Get Smart 2 in May next year. Gyllanhaal as just completed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

The two appeared in Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain as an ill-fated husband and wife.
