Story by Jack Foley
HAYLEY Atwell has replaced Gemma Arterton on Paul Andrew Williams’s Capa biopic, Close Enough.
She will join Tom Hiddleston, who is playing war photographer and photojournalist Robert Capa, on the film.
According to Screen Daily, Atwell will play the role of Capa’s partner and fellow photo-journalist Gerda Taro.
Williams commented: “Hayley is someone I have wanted to work with for a long time, and after a few near misses we have finally found what I believe to be the best project to collaborate on. The chemistry between Capa and Gerda was electric, and I have confidence that Tom and Hayley will repeat that chemistry on film.”
The story will follow the couple’s first meeting in Paris and their subsequent work during the Spanish Civil War.
Williams, who also penned the script, recently wrote and directed Song For Marion, which co-starred Arterton.
Atwell was most recently seen on the big screen in The Sweeney.
