Hugh Laurie in talks for George Clooney's Tomorrowland

House, final episode

Story by Jack Foley

HUGH Laurie is in talks to join the cast of George Clooney’s Tomorrowland as its main villain.

The news was unveiled by The Hollywood Reporter, although little else is known about his role or the project in general.

Tomorrowland is Disney’s top secret sci-fi project, which stars Clooney and is directed by Brad Bird.

The film only got its official name a couple of weeks ago, having previously been known as 1952, although The Hollywood Reporter belives it will be “in the vein of Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which followed a man searching for extra-terrestrials on Earth.

All that is known about Laurie’s prospective character is that he would serve as the film’s antagonist.

Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof co-wrote the script with Jeff Jensen, an editor at Entertainment Weekly.

Laurie was most recently seen on the big screen in ensemble comedy The Oranges but is best known as the former lead of long-running medical drama House.
