I Spit On Your Grave set for violent remake

I Spit On Your Grave

Story by Jack Foley

HORROR nasty I Spit On Your Grave is to be remade with a view to making it even more violent.

Meir Zachi’s ‘80s shocker was originally banned by the BBFC and labelled a video nasty by the Daily Mail for its graphic depiction of a woman who is gang-raped and left for dead, before exacting violent revenge.

New director Steven Monroe told Moviehole website that he intends to increase both the length and brutality of the revenge torture and kills because “they were quite short in the original”.

The film is being prepared with a Halloween 2010 release date in mind, according to Empire Online. They are also reporting that another remake of The Amityville Horror is in the works.
