THE long-anticipated fifth film in the Indiana Jones franchise will begin filming in the summer [2020], according to its star Harrison Ford.

Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show while promoting his latest film, Call of the Wild, Ford dropped a few hints about the upcoming Indiana Jones instalment.

“It’s going to be fun,” he said. “They are great fun to make.”

He also predicted that filming is due to begin in late summer… this despite claiming in a separate interview with CBS Sunday Morning that it could begin as soon as April.

As yet, the fifth film remains untitled, while a release date has yet to be set.

But the first three movies are considered to be some of the best action-adventure films of all-time, with Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade being particularly great.

The fourth film, 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was not well received by fans for its story, not Ford’s performance.
