Iron Man 3 delayed following Robert Downey Jr injury

SHOOTING on Iron Man 3 has been delayed while Robert Downey Jr recovers from a minor injury to his ankle.
The actor, aka Tony Stark, reportedly injured his ankle performing a stunt on set.
A statement released by Marvel reads: “Robert Downey Jr sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.”
Iron Man 3 is being directed by Kiss Kiss Bang Bang helmer Shane Black and is due for release on April 26, 2013 in the UK and May 3, 2013 in the US.
The injury is not expected to cause any delay to the release dates.
