James Franco and Jason Statham for Homefront

JAMES Franco is to star opposite Jason Statham in new movie Homefront.
Based on a book by Chuck Logan, the film will see Statham playing an ex-DEA agent who moves to a new town determined to lead a quiet life with his family, only to fall foul of a meth kingpin named Gator (Franco) who runs the place.
Gary Fleder will direct from a script that has been written by Statham’s Expendables co-star Sylvester Stallone (who also produces).
Filming is due to commence this September on location in New Orleans.
