James Franco for Wim Winders' Everything Will Be Fine
Story by Jack Foley
JAMES Franco has landed the lead role in Wim Wenders’ new film, Everything Will Be Fine.
The actor will play a writer who accidentally causes the death of a child.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story will follow him over the next 12 years as he looks for the footprints of the accident on his life, as well as on the life of the child’s mother.
Wenders is to direct the film in 3D and shooting is due to begin in Montreal in August.
Wenders described the project as “a family drama, unraveling over the course of 12 years”, adding that the script had been written with 3D in mind.
“I’m convinced that the medium lends itself really well to an intimate story,” he added.
Wenders’ last film was the Oscar-nominated hit Pina, which grossed north of $30 million worldwide.
Franco is currently shooting True Story opposite Jonah Hill.
