James Franco in talks for pick-up artist role

James Franco in 127 Hours

Story by Jack Foley

JAMES Franco could be about to play a pick-up artist in a new adaptation of the best-selling book The Game.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is in talks to play the central character in the film as he tries to learn the tricks to becoming a successful pick-up artist.

The book itself is a part memoir, part ‘how-to’ guide written by Neil Strauss. It’s being turned into a film by MGM and co-directed by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, who are also providing the screenplay.

During the course of his ‘research’, Strauss even moved into a masion on Sunset Strip that was filled with other competing players to find love.

If talks are successful, Franco is being lined up to star as Mystery, a man who serves as Strauss’ teacher in the book.
