Jared Leto joins Ryan Gosling in Blade Runner sequel

Suicide Squad

Story by Jack Foley

JARED Leto has joined Denis Villeneuve’s keenly anticipated Blade Runner sequel.

The Oscar-winning actor, currently in cinemas as The Joker in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, will join a cast headed up by Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, and which includes Robin Wright and Ana de Armas.

Set several decades after the 1982 original, the sequel will see Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard – although little is known about the plot beyond that.

Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have co-written the script, which succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

It has not been revealed what kind of role Leto will play.

The as-yet untitled Blade Runner sequel is currently due to be released on October 6, 2017 via Warner Bros.
