Jason Schwartzman joins Tim Burton's Big Eyes

JASON Schwartzman has joined the cast of Tim Burton’s Big Eyes.

The film is based on the true story of painter Margaret Keane and her husband Walter, who took credit for his wife’s work. The couple rose to prominence in the art world for paintings of big-eyed children in the ’50s and ’60s.

Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams have already been cast as the married couple, with Schwartzman set to play a San Francisco art gallery owner named Ruben.

Krysten Ritter and Danny Huston are also signed onto the project.

Schwartzman will next be seen in upcoming drama Saving Mr Banks, about the making of Mary Poppins.

His previous films include Rushmore, I Heart Huckabees and The Darjeeling Limited.
