Jason Schwartzman liked watching foxy Clooney
Story by Jack Foley
JASON Schwartzman has confessed that he got a huge kick from watching George Clooney at work while making animated movie Fantastic Mr Fox.
Speaking at a press conference to mark the opening of the Times BFI 53rd London Film Festival, the actor said that working on Wes Anderson’s movie had been a fantastic experience – and one unlike any other he was likely to repeat on an animated movie.
“It sounds weird to say, but often when you’re working with someone you really admire, you’re working with them and you can’t really stare at them and take it in just how amazing the whole thing is.
“But because there were no cameras rolling on this one, George would get to do a scene, or make a speech, and I could just look at him and admire him – not only for all the obvious reasons [laughs], but to watch the work and look at it.
“It was the same with Bill Murray and Wes Anderson. It was really nice to be able to work but also to watch and have that kind of a privilege. It was something I really loved so much about the experience.”
