Javier Bardem joins Julia Roberts drama

SPANISH Oscar winner Javier Bardem is poised to join Julia Roberts on new romantic drama Eat, Pray, Love.
Based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, the film would see Roberts playing the author embark on a journey of self-discovery prompted by the end of her marriage.
According to Variety, Bardem would play a man named Felipe, with whom Gilbert meets and falls in love with on the final part of her journey, while Richard Jenkins has also signed on to play a Texan man she meets and befriends at an Indian ashram.
Ryan Murphy – of TV’s Nip/Tuck fame – will direct the film, while Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner plan to produce.
Roberts can currently be seen alongside Ryan Reynolds in family drama Fireflies In The Garden while Bardem was last seen in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona
