Jeff Bridges admits to being underwhelmed by R.I.P.D
Story by Jack Foley
WE always appreciate it when an actor speaks honestly about the projects he or she is involved with.
The latest to speak honestly about their work is Jeff Bridges, who has admitted to being “underwhelmed” by his own latest release, RIPD, once he saw it.
In an interview with GQ magazine, the Oscar winner said he had “such a great time working on the movie”, adding: “I remember what we were doing. I thought, ‘This could be fun to see’.
“And when I saw it, I was a little underwhelmed. For my mind, the studio made some, uh, choices that I wouldn’t have made.”
Bridges isn’t bothered by the film’s subsequent critical roasting or its box office flop status, adding: “It’s kind of fun when the movie’s coming out. It’s like having a horse in the race. And they’re lining up, and they’re off!
“And you’re rooting for your horse. And in this case, the jockey fell off the horse and you came in last. Haha. You know. That happens sometimes.”
