Jena Malone linked to Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire
Story by Jack Foley
JENA Malone, of Sucker Punch fame, has been linked to a pivotal role in Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire.
If reports are true, the actress is being lined up to play strong-willed tribute Johanna Mason.
The character is described in author Suzanne Collins’ best-seller as possessing ‘a wicked ability to murder’.
She wins her Hunger Games by pretending to be weak and then picking off the other tributes.
She also makes a striking entrance in the book, greeting heroine Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence in the film) naked… well, in a pair of green slippers!
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 22, 2013.
It will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who takes over the series from Gary Ross.
Next story: Alan Partridge movie to shoot in January 2013
