JENNIFER Lawrence looks set to unite with The Big Short director Adam McKay for a film about medical laboratory services company Theranos.

According to Variety, the as-yet untitled project is based around a pitch that would focus on the life of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, who was named by Forbes magazine as the richest self-made woman in the world last year.

However, the bio-tech entrepreneur’s net worth was completely reduced last week when Forbes revised its estimate from $4.5 billion to zero following allegations that the company’s blood tests are inaccurate.

According to sources referenced by Variety, Lawrence will star and produce along with McKay, who will also write and direct the film.

Both Lawrence and McKay are coming off the back of hot movies. Lawrence was Oscar nominated this year for her role in Joy, while McKay also saw his The Big Short land multiple Academy Award nominations.
