Jeremy Irvine for The Woman In Black: Angel of Death

Great Expectations

Story by Jack Foley

WAR Horse star Jeremy Irvine is to star in The Woman In Black: Angel of Death, the follow-up movie from the team behind the world-wide box office hit The Woman In Black.

He will be joined by Phoebe Fox, of Black Mirror fame, in the film, which will continue the story four decades later.

After being seized by the British government during World War II, the ghostly inhabitant of Eel Marsh House will be re-awakened by the sudden arrival of a group of evacuated children.

The casting was announced by Simon Oakes, president and CEO of Hammer and vice chairman of Exclusive Media, who also confirmed that Tom Harper will direct.

Harper himself commented: “Jeremy and Phoebe are fantastic actors to continue The Woman in Black’s chilling tale. I’m looking forward to working with them both on the film and can’t wait to start shooting with the pair.”

Jon Croker (Desert Dancer) wrote the screenplay based on an original story by Susan Hill (The Woman In Black).

The original Woman In Black starred Daniel Radcliffe and has become the highest grossing British horror film of the past 20 years, grossing more than $130 million world-wide.
