Jessica Chastain joins Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak

Zero Dark Thirty

Story by Jack Foley

JESSICA Chastain is the latest star name to join the cast of Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak.

The casting means that Chastain will be reunited with The Help co-star Emma Stone and comes just 24 hours after it was announced that British star Benedict Cumberbatch had also joined the gothic horror.

Based on a script that was co-written by Del Toro, Matthew Robbins and Lucinda Coxon, the film follows a woman who discovers that her husband may not be whom he appears to be.

A February 2014 production start date is planned for the project, which also stars Charlie Hunnam (of Sons of Anarchy fame).

Chastain last starred in the surprise horror hit Mama, which was executive produced by del Toro, as well as the Oscar nominated Zero Dark Thirty.
