JOEL Kinnaman could play Liam Neeson’s son in new action flick All Nighter.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is in final negotiations to star in the Jaume Collet-Serra directed venture for Warner Bros.

The plot will follow an aging hitman (played by Neeson) who is forced to battle his brutal former boss to protect his estranged son and his family after the son (Kinnaman), a chauffeur, witnesses a murder.

Shooting is due to begin in the autumn as both Neeson and Kinnaman have busy schedules.

Kinnaman has just completed the remake of Robocop and is reprising his breakout role as a police detective for the third season of AMC’s thriller The Killing.

Neeson has Non-Stop, The Third Person and A Walk Among the Tombstones in various stages of development and is also in talks for for Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West
