John Cusack for Stephen King's Cell

John Cusack in 1408

Story by Jack Foley

JOHN Cusack is to star in another adaptation of a Stephen King novel, his third.

The actor will star as comic-book writer Clayton Riddell, the character at the centre of an apocalyptic event known as ‘The Pulse’, in King’s novel Cell.

In book form, ‘The Pulse’ sends everyone who is using their mobile phone at the moment it strikes into a murderous rage, prompting all hell to break loose across America.

Clay, however, doesn’t own a mobile phone…

Cusack has previously starred in King adaptations 1408 and Stand By Me.

King has co-written the screenplay with Adam Alleca (of Last House On The Left fame) but, as yet, there is no director and no other cast member attached.
