Johnny Depp to direct Keith Richards documentary
Story by Jack Foley
JOHNNY Depp is to direct a documentary on Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards.
The guitar icon served as an inspiration for Depp’s character, Jack Sparrow, in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies – and Richards even featured in a cameo in the third film, At World’s End, as Jack’s dad.
Now, according to a representative for Depp in a Serbian magazine named Politika, the actor is due to commence work on the project next week.
Aside from their Pirates of the Caribbean get together, Depp and Richards have been friends for more than a decade, according to Variety.
Depp is no stranger to directing either, having previously helmed 1997’s The Brave, starring the late Marlon Brando.
He’ll next be seen in front of the camera playing The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland
Next story: Enchanted sequel being developed by Disney
