Josh Helman joins X Men: Days of Future Past

AUSTRALIAN actor Josh Helman has joined the cast of X Men: Days of Future Past.

As yet, there is no word on who the young actor will play but he is expected to be on set for several weeks, according to The Wrap, suggesting a prominent role.

Helman first came to prominence with a role in HBO’s WWII ensemble The Pacific and was most recently seen alongside Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher.

He will also star in Mad Max: Fury Road alongside his new X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult, Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

Bryan Singer, director of the first two X-Men films returns to direct this sequel, which brings back X-Men: First Class stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence alongside past X-Men veterans including Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin and Ian McKellen.

Other newcomers include Peter Dinklage, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Evan Peters and Boo Boo Stewart.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to be released on May 23, 2014.
