JUSTICE Smith, the star of Baz Lurhmann’s The Get Down, has joined the cast of Jurassic World 2.

The young actor, whose other credits include Paper Towns, will line up alongside returning stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the keenly anticipated follow-up to Jurassic World.

JA Bayona, whose latest film A Monster Calls arrives in UK cinemas this Christmas, is directing the project, which is currently in pre-production as it heads toward a spring start in England.

Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, is writing the script with Derek Connolly, although plot details remain a closely guarded secret.

Jurassic World was the ultra successful return to the dinosaurs first seen in Steven Spielberg’s landmark 1993 film Jurassic Park, which was based on the Michael Crichton novel.

The film ultimately took a whopping $1.67 billion at the box office when it was released in 2015.
