Justin Bieber brings Bieber Fever to London for film premiere

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never: UK Premiere

Story by Jack Foley

JUSTIN Bieber fans brought ‘Bieber Fever’ to London on Wednesday night (February 16, 2011) as they greeted the teen pop sensation at the UK premiere of his first film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.

Hundreds of screaming girls filled the entrance hall to the O2 Arena to catch a glimpse of the soon-to-be 17-year-old star, who duly obliged by signing autographs and posing for photos.

Fresh from winning the international breakthrough act at Tuesday night’s Brit Awards, Bieber put on a show for his fans and was dressed in a black waistcoat and bow tie with jeans. He was also sporting his now-famous hairstyle.

The singer was joined at the event by a host of celebrities, including fellow pop stars such as Jessie J (pictured with Justin), Alesha Dixon and Jamelia.

A handful of lucky fans were also reduced to tears after being handed tickets to see the film for free – a ploy that is fast becoming a Bieber custom before any gig or show.

Earlier in the day, he attended a press conference at which he spoke about his career to date, fears surrounding his leap from teen idol to adult singer and whether he worries what’ll happen if his fame went away.

He also paid tribute to his fans throughout and had a special message for his UK fans, saying: “A special message to my London fans is thank you for everything… for camping out and being so supportive, for buying tickets to my movie and just for being so cool.”
