Kate Winslet joins Alan Rickman's A Little Chaos

KATE Winslet has joined the cast of A Little Chaos, a new historical drama beng directed by Alan Rickman.

The Oscar-winning actress will line up alongside Matthias Schoenaerts as rival garden designers competing for the right to design a fountain at Versailles for Louis XIV.

Rickman will also star in the movie, possibly as the monarch.

Zygi Kamasa, of distributor Lionsgate, commented: “We are delighted to be working with the best of British actors and directors like Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman as we move forward in doubling our investment in British films in 2014.”

A Little Chaos, which is due for release next year, is Rickman’s second film as director following his debut, The Winter Guest, an adaptation of Sharman Macdonald’s play, starring Phyllida Law and Emma Thompson

Matthias Schoenaerts recetly shot to prominence in the films Bullhead and Rust & Bone.
