KATE Winslet is in talks to join Woody Allen’s next movie.

As usual, the film has yet to be given a name and the plot is shrouded in secrecy.

But if the talks are concluded successfully, the casting would mark Winslet’s first collaboration with the American filmmaker.

Allen’s latest film, Cafe Society, recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to generally positive reviews and is due to open in the US on July 15, 2016.

Winslet received a Golden Globe and Oscar nomination this year for her work in Steve Jobs and was also recently seen playing the villain in John Hillcoat’s gritty cop thriller Triple 9.

The British actress will next be seen in Collateral Beauty opposite Will Smith, and she is attached to star opposite Idris Elba in The Mountains Between Us.
