Keanu Reeves to play Samurai warrior
Story by Jack Foley
KEANU Reeves looks set to play a samurai swordsman in epic drama 47 Ronin.
The film would take the form of a fact-based drama about a band of samurai warriors who come together to avenge the death of their master in 18th Century Japan, according to Variety.
It would mix the fantastical elements of The Lord of the Rings with the ferocious intensity of the battle scenes in Gladiator and 300.
Reeves, who is half-Asian, would play one of the swordsmen. Commercials director Carl Erik Rinsch is being tipped to make his feature film debut with the epic.
