Keanu Reeves to star in Daughter of God

Henry's Crime

Story by Jack Foley

KEANU Reeves is to star in new dramatic thriller Daughter of God alongside Cuban-born actress Ana de Armas.

The film, by Gee Malik Linton, will mark their second collaboration following Eli Roth’s upcoming Knock Knock.

The story will follow a young Latino woman (de Armas) who experiences strange happenings as a police detective (Reeves) searches for the truth behind his partner’s death.

Executive producer Cassian Elwes commented: “It’s a thrill for me to work on such an exciting project with Keanu, our fourth movie together. Our latest film, Eli Roth’s Knock Knock, co-stars a bright new talent in Ana de Armas and we are thrilled she has agreed to play the lead in Daughter of God. It was Gee’s amazing script that won us all over.”

Shooting on the thriller is due to commence in November 2014.

Knock Knock, meanwhile, follows a pair of femme fatales (Lorenza Izzo and de Armas) wreaking havoc on the life of a happily married man (Reeves). It is now in post-production and due for release in 2015.
