Kelly Brook lines up Bonnie and Clyde-inspired Taking Stock

Kelly Brook in Three

Story by Jack Foley

KELLY Brook is to star in a new British crime thriller inspired by Bonnie & Clyde.

Taking Stock will feature the model as a fast-rising actress who plots to rob the store she is working in when she falls on hard times. Needless to say, the plans unravel.

Written and directed by Maeve Murphy, the feature film is an extended version of Murphy’s own short, Sushi.

Brook will be joined on the project by a supporting cast that includes Georgia Groome, Scot Williams, Jay Brown, Xavier Alcan and Femi Oyeniran.

Brook herself commented: “It is so important that we continue to support British filmmaking and Maeve has written one of the best scripts I’ve read in a long time. I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love, which is being on set and working with a hugely talented cast and crew.”

Brook’s previous film credits include Keith Lemon: The Film, Piranha 3D and Three.

Murphy’s previous film, 2009’s Beyond the Fire, won ‘Best Feature’ at the London Independent Film Festival and New York’s Garden State Film Festival.
