Kelly Reilly to headline indie drama Love Is Strange

Story by Jack Foley

KELLY Reilly has joined the cast of Ira Sachs’ indie drama Love Is Strange.

The British actress is joined by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts (of August: Osage County fame) and fellow Brits Michael Gambon and Alfred Molina in the line-up.

Reilly and Letts will play a married couple whose relationship is disturbed by the arroval of an elderly uncle (Gambon), who is forced to move in with them.

Reilly recently starred as a recovering addict and love interest of Denzel Washington in Robert Zemeckis heavy-hitter Flight and can also shortly be seen in A Single Shot, which recevied its premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Previous credits include Sherlock Holmes and its sequel, as well as After Miss Julie, for which she became the youngest-ever Olivier Award nominee in the best actress category in 2004.

Letts most recently wrote the screenplay adaptation of Killer Joe and the film adaptation of the forthcoming big screen version of August: Osage County starring Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep.
