Kristen Stewart and James Woods to unite for American Girl?

JAMES Woods is bidding to direct Twilight star Kristen Stewart in a new war drama.
An American Girl would follow the fortunes of a smalltown girl (played by Stewart) who runs away to join the Marines because of the shame she feels over a drunken sex video incident.
Once involved with the military, she becomes fluent in Arabic and joins a programme in which female soldiers gain information from Muslim women who won’t talk to military men.
She is then able to restore her reputation and return home in glory after a tragic incident changes the course of her life.
Woods, who’ll next be seen in the remake of Straw Dogs, intends to produce and direct the project and reportedly has the backing of Stewart.
He told the Coming Soon website: “It’s a phenomenal story and a slam-dunk Oscar for Kristen.”
