Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx set to reunite for Mean Business on North Ganson Street
Story by Jack Foley
LEONARDO DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx are set to reunite for crime drama Mean Business on North Ganson Street.
Based on the novel by Craig Zahler, the film would follow a disgraced detective who transfers to a town in Missouri and teams with another disgraced officer to investigate why colleagues in the town are staring to show up dead in execution style killings.
The two begin to work on the assumption that someone is out to make war with the local authorities.
Zahler himself will adapt the novel, according to Deadline, while DiCaprio is among the producers. Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to the novel and will distribute.
The two actors were only just seen together in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.
The casting completes a busy period for both actors. Aside from Tarantino’s Oscar-winning Western, DiCaprio also recently completed The Great Gatsby and has a Rasputin movie in development, his Martin Scorsese reunion The Wolf of Wall Street and recently became attached to Travis McGee.
Foxx, meanwhile, has White House Down on the way and is working on Will Smith’s Annie remake as well as The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (as Electro).
