Leonardo DiCaprio to play US President Woodrow Wilson

LEONARDO DiCaprio is to play 28th US president Woodrow Wilson in a new film he is also to produce.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be based upon Wilson, the presidential biography written by A. Scott Berg, and Warner Bros are currently negotiating to acquire the rights.
The book was only published last week to positive reviews.
Wilson is known for leading the US to join the Allies in World War I and his support for the Treaty of Versailles. He also created the Federal Reserve – the central banking system of the United States.
Berg is to help write the script, while DiCaprio is eyeing it as a potential star vehicle.
The actor will next be seen in Martin Scorsese’s Wolf of Wall Street playing a risk-taking investment banker. It is the actor’s fifth collaboration with the director.
DiCaprio has previously played the historical figure J Edgar Hoover in Clint Eastwood’s biopic J Edgar
