Liev Schreiber to play Lyndon B. Johnson in The Butler

LIEV Schreiber has joined the cast of Lee Daniels’ The Butler as American President Lyndon B. Johnson.
A chronicle of the life of Eugene Allen (Forest Whitaker), who served at the White House from the 1950s through the 1980s, Schreiber is the latest high profile name to become attached.
Robin Williams was recently signed up as President Dwight D. Eisenhower, while James Marsden is to play President John F. Kennedy, John Cusack will portray President Richard M. Nixon and Alan Rickman will become President Ronald Reagan.
Melissa Leo is Mamie Eisenhower, Minka Kelly will play Jackie Kennedy, and Jane Fonda is signed up as Nancy Reagan.
Oprah Winfrey will play Allen’s wife.
Daniels co-wrote the script for the film with Danny Strong (of HBO’s Game Change). Deadline reported the latest casting news.
