Story by Jack Foley
LUKE Grimes has been cast as Elliot Grey, the brother of Christian Grey, in Fifty Shafes of Grey.
The latest casting announcement comes just 24 hours after Jamie Dornan was confirmed as Charlie Hunnam’s replacement in the lead role of Christian.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elliot plays a pivotal role in the story as a member of Christian’s close-knit family.
He ends up in a romance with Anastasia Steele’s best friend, another role that has yet to be cast. Steele is being played by Dakota Johnson.
Grimes is hitherto best known for playing Wes on long-running vampire show True Blood but also appeared alongside Liam Neeson in Taken 2 and was a co-lead alongside Amber Heard in All The Boys Love Mandy Lane.
Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing Fifty Shades of Grey from a screenplay by Kelly Marcel. The project is aiming for an early November start with a view to being released in August 2014.
